“DNA MADE IN ITALY Awards – CU Student Competition 2026”
This year the Italian Embassy in Kazakhstan together with the Italian Institute of Culture in Almaty, under the patronage of ICE – Italian Trade Agency, decided to cooperate with the prestigious Caspian University in the organisation of the third edition of the National Made in Italy Day, which is a world-wide initiative promoted by the Italian Government.
The event is curated by architect Marco Poletti (DNA MADE IN ITALY, Milan) and Professor Giangabriele Fini of Caspian University, with the assistance of Dr Edoardo Crisafulli, PhD, Director of the Italian Institute of Culture in Almaty.
On 15 April 2026, as part of the Made in Italy Day, the important competition “DNA MADE IN ITALY Awards – CU Students Competition 2026” will take place at Caspian University in Almaty. Among the guests, representatives of Italian institutions are expected to attend, together with the event sponsor, Paghera, a company renowned for its projects in the field of landscape design. The programme will feature a masterclass by architect Marco Poletti entitled “DNA Made in Italy – Design and Architecture”.
The goal of the event is to strengthen the dialogue between Italian and Kazakh cultures through architecture and design. It is intended to foster the creative potential of students and young professionals, while also encouraging intercultural exchange and professional collaboration. Design is presented as an important tool for innovation and for shaping a high-quality built environment.
